In the RayStorm universe, humanity has thrived and expanded into the Orion arm of the galaxy. However, this prosperity led Earth to impose martial law to maintain security. A coalition of colonies, with Secilia at its head, rebelled against Earth’s governance. Their goal was to destroy Earth and its inhabitants. In response, Earth deployed the covertly developed R-Gray fighter to infiltrate Secilia’s atmosphere and neutralize their central hub, the Juda System.
RayCrisis diverges stylistically from the main series by taking place in a cyberpunk setting. As a prequel to RayForce, it explores the origins of the sentient supercomputer Con-Human, which turned against its creators. With Earth being dismantled to serve as Con-Human’s new body, a mecha-neurologist initiates a desperate offensive to interface with the supercomputer’s core. Players take control of the Waverider virus to stop Con-Human’s rampage in the digital realm before further destruction occurs in the real world.
