Set in a Lovecraftian-inspired France during the Revolution, Liberté offers a rogue-like adventure where players can choose to play solo or collaborate, battling relentless enemies amidst the chaos of Paris to establish a new order.
Liberté seamlessly integrates deck-building mechanics and rogue-like elements. Players create powerful, personalized card combinations by strategically selecting from a variety of skill and equipment cards.
Combat in Liberté emphasizes precise positioning and timing – chain multiple kills, avoid attacks by dodging and rolling, and learn from mistakes as enemies’ attacks are telegraphed. As you progress, enemies become faster, more coordinated, and more deadly.
Liberté’s innovative action-based cooldown system allows players to stay in the fight while skills recharge: each melee hit restores a cooldown point, enabling seamless combos of basic attacks and burst skills to clear enemies efficiently.
Your abilities and equipment are determined by the cards in your deck and how you play them. With over 100 cards available, some offering powerful synergies, the game encourages creative card combinations.
We’ve organized these cards into thematic Sets like the Pistolier Set for ranged attacks or the Assassin Set for backstabs. While these Sets suggest strong combinations, you’re free to experiment and create your own unique deck from the 40 starter cards and 3 initial decks.
Liberté supports solo or co-op gameplay, both locally and online. The party leader initiates missions, but major decisions are made democratically through a voting system. Online players experience personalized story versions without spoilers or conflicts, and everyone shares in the loot.
